DEDICATION
Dear Readers,
Splendor in Sanctuary (Sanctuary, Montana – book 5) represents a first for me. I’ve never collaborated with other authors on a series like this so it was a bit scary to do so. However, the other authors, Melody Snow Monroe, Alicia White, Lara Valentine, Corinne Davies, and Zara Chase were great to work with. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the other books in the series.
Enjoy!

Chapter One
Tatum Baldwin, you are such a coward.
Tatum sat on her bed in the Baldwin family home in Sanctuary, Montana, and stared at the basket in front of her. She lifted one of the items, a cock ring, and studied it. What the hell was she supposed to do with that? She knew how to use some of the other items—the vibrator, handcuffs, foldable flogger, and the tubes of lubricants as well as the studded collar—but a few of them were complete mysteries to her. She’d never felt more inexperienced than she did looking at the sex toys. Had her visits to the BDSM club Consensual taught her nothing? But then, she’d only gone a couple of times and had stayed on the sidelines, trying not to gawk too much.
Why did I buy a basket anyway?
It was a stupid question to ask. She’d gone to the BDSM auction last month for that specific purpose, to buy Josh and Will’s basket. But they’d rushed out early, and their basket had gotten pulled from the auction. She’d had to gather her nerve and purchase it from Aaron Carson, the club’s owner, saying that she was doing it “for a good cause.”
But they didn’t see me buy it, and that was my main reason for buying it. Although helping a good cause is always a good reason to spend money.
At the time of the auction, she’d thought buying a basket would be a great way to tell Josh McLean and his cousin Will McLean that she was interested. Interested in not only delving into new and exciting sexual play, but in a lifelong relationship. The latter was unlikely, given the persistent state of conflict between their families, but that didn’t keep her from dreaming.
As for the sex, that was a good possibility since they weren’t exactly strangers. She’d often imagined inviting them to a secluded spot and seducing them. She’d dress in the sexy lingerie she’d purchased online and she’d hold out the basket and say, “Take me any way and every way you want me. I’m yours. Command me to do whatever you want.”
She wanted them interested in more than just sex, of course, but getting them physically attracted to her was as good a place as any to start a relationship. Or at least she hoped so.
But the auction had happened last month, and she’d done nothing except moon over them whenever they happened to cross paths. Just like she’d done in high school.
How long had she had a fascination with them? Ten years? More? It seemed like forever.
Th
ey’d caught her attention when she’d entered high school. They’d been the older, handsome star jocks on the football team and she’d been the chubby band geek with braces and glasses who’d sat in the stadium and cheered them on. No way could she have approached them back then. Especially since they’d both had cheerleader girlfriends. Cute, skinny, blonde cheerleaders who were as snooty as they were popular.
Then came college and the McLean cousins had gone out of state to study. Fate had intervened more than once when they’d all come home for a holiday or just to visit their respective families. They’d even hung out a few times after she’d “accidentally” run into them. They’d made sure to go to a neighboring town so that no one they knew would see them together. She’d treasured those times, especially the one time they’d ended up partying in a hotel room. They’d come close that time to having sex, but a mutual friend had interrupted their heated make out session. She’d often wondered if things would have progressed farther.
Since then, she’d only had her dreams to keep her warm. Mutual friends kept them up-to-date on each other’s lives, but they’d never had any real contact.
She should’ve simply forgotten about them and moved on to someone else. Yet, no matter how hard she’d tried, she hadn’t forgotten them. She could never forget them.
They’d graduated from college then gone to live in other states and had rarely returned home. Part of why she’d come back home armed with her bachelor of education degree was her way of staying close to them, even if only through town gossip. She’d gone into teaching instrumental and vocal music with a fervor at Sanctuary Junior High School and she loved her job. But the McLean cousins were never far from her mind and there hadn’t been a day when she hadn’t wished they’d come back to Sanctuary.
When they’d returned two months ago, she’d stopped and gawked at them as they’d sauntered across the street in that sexy, careless way they had. Although she’d always listened for any word about them in the gossip that floated around the town, she’d heard nothing about their possible return to Sanctuary.
At first, she couldn’t believe her eyes. She’d stood there, wanting to run and throw her arms around them, but they hadn’t seen her and she hadn’t had the nerve to call out to them. Instead, she’d remained stuck to the sidewalk and had mooned over them just as she’d done every time they’d made another fantastic play on the football field.
How had they gotten even better looking? She couldn’t have imagined that they could get any sexier, but she’d been wrong.
Both of them were built like human trucks, steel-hard and oozing power. They had wide shoulders that strained to break out of their leather jackets. They both had dark hair. Josh, the wilder of the two men, wore his hair a little longer so that it feathered at the back in a cruel imitation of how she’d like to curve her fingers around his neck and pull his lips to hers. Will’s hair was shorter and spiked on top. Just like they always had, they still wore faded jeans that molded to their perfect bodies. While Will sported a leather belt with a silver buckle, Josh went without a belt, his shirt pulled out at the back in a carefree manner.
I wonder if their eyes are the same McLean blue.
Granted, eye color couldn’t change, but had the gleam that had always been there diminished with age? Did they still have that wild glint that had made her panties wet? She longed to find out.
She wondered if they’d picked up an accent while living away from the small town. Josh had always had a sexy, almost Southern drawl to his voice that had left all the girls swooning. And Will’s voice had been like a fine wine that had been aged so that every drop was full and rich. She trembled to think that their seductive voices could’ve grown even sexier with age.
She should’ve called out to them, should’ve dared to hug them and welcome them back home. In fact, she regretted not having done so, but old habits died hard. Besides, if she’d dared to hug them, word would’ve gotten around town quicker than a fast fish after a slow minnow. And that would’ve been bad. Real bad.
Her father, Joseph Baldwin, patriarch of the Baldwin clan, would’ve tanned her hide if he’d known about her interest in the McLean men when she was younger, and he’d still go ballistic. Once a Baldwin, always a Baldwin. And Baldwins didn’t mix with McLeans. And her brothers? She wasn’t sure how they’d react. Back in high school they might’ve jumped the McLean boys, but now? Would they feel the same way her father did? Oh, sure, they talked the same way, saying that they didn’t like the McLeans, but she hadn’t really discussed the feud with them in a year or so, fearful that she might say something to clue them in on her feelings for Josh and Will.
She sighed and picked up the black fur-lined handcuffs. How could she dislike Josh and Will because of their last name when she wanted to throw the cuffs at them and beg them to snap them around her wrists?
She closed her eyes and let her imagination take over, envisioning her hands cuffed, her arms thrust over her head as the two men ravished her body. Josh would kneel between her legs and kiss her at the core of her heat while Will lashed his tongue over her nipples.
Heat swelled in her pussy as the fantasy took over, and she lay back on her bed. She brought one hand above her head and still pretended that it was cuffed to the other even as the other hand skimmed down under her panties and found her pussy folds. She slipped her finger between them and found the wetness spreading over her flesh. Her clit was already sensitive before she even touched it, and she moaned then clamped her mouth closed, shutting off the betraying sound. In her mind’s eye, she could see Josh’s head between her legs.
He lapped at her, drinking from her, then lifted those mischievous blue eyes to stare deep into her soul. He paused in using his tongue on her clit only to press his thumb against her throbbing nub and massage it.
His voice, so smooth and husky, entered her head, and if she hadn’t known better, she would’ve sworn he was in the room with her.
“Hey, darlin’, tell me. Is that what you like?”
She wouldn’t answer. If he couldn’t tell that she liked what he was doing, then he was a fool. And Josh McLean was no fool.
Will, his voice just as sultry as his cousin’s, joined the mix. “Damn, but she’s hot. Who knew little Tater Baldwin would turn out to be so smokin’?”
She hated the nickname her brothers had given her. And yet, from the mouths of Will and Josh, it sounded endearing, even sexy.
Stretching, she massaged her clit even harder. The heat whirled inside her, gearing up for the storm that would end with a tornado of release.
Will licked over her breasts, giving her a nip every once in a while, no doubt for his pleasure as well as hers. He fondled her breasts as he edged closer and let his huge cock bob in front of her face. “Do you want a little taste, sugar?”
She smiled, both in the fantasy and in real life, then envisioned opening her mouth and drawing him in.
Josh chuckled then pushed his face against her pussy again.
She bucked from Josh’s attack as he sucked on her clit then added two fingers inside her pussy. He wiggled them and she wondered if he was searching for her G-spot. His tongue lashed her clit, sending a fresh wave of lust to wipe the question from her mind.
Will thrust his hips forward, plunging his cock inside her mouth as far as it would go. She moaned again as she watched the muscles in Will’s abdomen work with his every move. If she had her hands free, she’d delight in running her fingertips over his taut stomach. But all she could do was to enclose her mouth over his cock and use her tongue the best way she knew how.
“Roll her onto her side, cuz. I’ll take the back and you can have the front.” Josh lifted up and wiped his mouth. He caressed her inner thigh before pressing a kiss to the sensitive skin. “If that’s okay with you, darlin’.”
She couldn’t speak, not in real life or in the fantasy. She could only nod.
Although she’d never been taken from behind, she trusted Josh to treat her gently.
&nb
sp; Josh placed her on her side, sliding his palm over her thigh as though she was made of pure silk. Shooting her one of his trademark wicked grins when she glanced back at him, he took the gel from the basket. She waited and yet, when the coolness of the lube hit her tight dark hole, she still jerked in surprise. Will calmed her by lifting one leg over his and sliding to rest beside her. He brushed her hair away from her face in a gesture that was both exciting and tender.
“Easy, Tater. We’d never hurt you.” Will placed a sweet kiss on her hand.
She wanted to toy with them. “Even though I’m a Baldwin?”
He grinned, catching her meaning. “Even though.” His smile faded as the lust swept over his face again. “Damn, I can’t believe it took so long to get with you. I remember wanting you from the first time I saw you sitting in the stands at school. You were there for every game, weren’t you?”
“Of course. Where else would I have been? If only you’d acted on your feelings.”
Josh, vying for her attention, added, “Forget high school. We were just stupid jocks who didn’t have enough sense to recognize a good thing when we saw it. Even in college we didn’t realize how special you were, that we should’ve stayed together when we met up those times, but that was our fault, not yours. We wanted you back then, but you know how it was. With our dad paying our way, we didn’t have the nerve to pursue anything. We let this damn feud get in our way. But we’re back now and we intend to make the most of it. God, darlin’, I saw you on the street corner and knew right then and there that I’d have to have you or die trying.”
